Olga Avigail

Singer, accordionist and researcher of Eastern European musical traditions. She has a classical musical education and graduated with a degree in Cultural Anthropology from ISNS UW. The artist specialises in Jewish music of the Ashkenazi tradition. She divides her time between Warsaw and Jerusalem, where he currently lives. She initiates projects promoting multiculturalism with the participation of artists from Poland and Israel, and works with organisations promoting Jewish culture in the world. She performs on prestigious stages, such as at: Lincoln Center in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the Spanish Synagogue in Prague, the White Stork Synagogue in Wroclaw, the Eden-Tamir Music Center in Jerusalem, the Ashkenaz Festival in Toronto, the Berkeley Jewish Music Festival in California, the KlezKanada and Chutzpah! festivals in Canada, the Singer Festival in Warsaw, among many others. She has released three original albums: Jewish Folksongs from the Shtetl, Li-La-Lo and Yiddish Tango Live in Jerusalem.
