Magdalena Cielecka
Theatre and film actress. In 1995, she graduated from the Acting Department of the Ludwik Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts in Kraków. She has worked with the most eminent Polish artists, including Andrzej Wajda, Grzegorz Jarzyna, Mariusz Treliński, Jan Jakub Kolski, Barbara Sass and Krzysztof Warlikowski. Directors emphasise her extraordinary capacity to transform herself, her great diligence, courage, expressive personality and predilection for taking artistic risks. In 2008, Magdalena Cielecka won the prestigious Herald Angel Award at the Edinburgh International Festival. She was honoured for her roles in the productions 4.48 Psychosis and Dybbuk. In the same year she joined the Nowy Teatr company.
