Gołda Tencer
Actress, singer and director. Deputy director of the Jewish Theatre since 2009, before becoming its director in 2015. Founder and long-standing director of the Shalom Foundation, initiator and organizer of the “Singer’s Warsaw” Jewish Culture Festival. An important moment in her artistic career was recording an album of Yiddish songs called “Miasteczko Bełz”, for 1988, which enjoyed great popularity. She has toured extensively with songs from this album, visiting such countries as East Germany, Israel, the United States and the Netherlands. She has received numerous awards for her artistic and organisational activity, as well as for supporting the promotion of Jewish culture in Poland and abroad.
